Current Practices and Preferences of Practicing School Psychologists
Title: Current Practices and Preferences of Practicing School Psychologists
Description: This study will be updating research describing the scope of practice of current school psychologists to gather insight on their role, current challenges, and aspirations as a school psychologist in 2020-2021. School psychologists will be asked to provide demographic information (e.g., gender, years of practice, etc) first, and then will be asked to provide information about their roles, challenges, and aspirations as a school psychologist by filling out a 25-30 minute survey. For example, they will be asked to provide an approximation of the amount of time they spend in various tasks (e.g., “Please check the percentage of time spent providing the following services”), as well as how much time they wish they were spending on those services to provide a thorough understanding of their current role.
Specifics: Study Population: The targeted study population is current, practicing school psychologists from any part of Canada.
Participant Obligation: Participants will be asked to fill in a 25-30 minute survey describing their experiences as practicing school psychologists; no other follow-up will be required.
