Trauma-Informed Mindfulness in Therapy: Adaptations and Practices for Clinicians

Centre for MindBody Health (CMBH) is excited to invite you to our upcoming 3-hour online training led by David Treleaven, Ph.D., acclaimed author and trauma specialist.

Emerging research suggests that mindfulness interventions can help or hinder trauma survivors, raising a crucial question for clinicians: How can you be prepared to minimize the potential dangers of mindfulness for traumatized people, while leveraging its powerful benefits at the same time?

This online workshop will equip you with the tools you need to safely and effectively implement mindfulness interventions when working with clients who have experienced trauma through lecture, case study, and experiential practice.

David Treleaven, Ph.D., is a writer, educator, and trauma professional working at the intersection of mindfulness and trauma. He is the author of the acclaimed book Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness and founder of the Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness (TSM) Community–a group of practitioners committed to setting a standard of care through mindfulness-based practices, interventions and programs. David’s work has been adopted into mindfulness teaching programs, including UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center, Bangor University’s MA in Mindfulness program in the UK, and Oxford and Brown University. https://davidtreleaven.com/
