L\u2019une s\u2019adressait aux associations provinciales\/territoriales et visait \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer leur r\u00f4le dans l\u2019organisation et la facilitation de l\u2019intervention d\u2019urgence sur le plan de la psychologie. La deuxi\u00e8me enqu\u00eate s\u2019adressait aux praticiens. Le but des enqu\u00eates est de d\u00e9terminer qui fait quoi, quels sont les besoins de formation pour fournir ce genre de service et d\u00e9terminer le besoin ou le r\u00f4le des associations dans l\u2019organisation ou la facilitation des services. L\u2019enqu\u00eate a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9e dans les nouvelles SCP, et diffus\u00e9e par le CCDP, l\u2019AOCRP et le CSPP en avril 2009. Les r\u00e9sultats de l\u2019enqu\u00eate ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s au congr\u00e8s de la SCP de 2010 \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al. Pour obtenir un rapport final des r\u00e9sultats de l\u2019enqu\u00eate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cpa.ca\/cpasite\/UserFiles\/Documents\/Emergency%20Preparedness\/CPA_Emergency_Survey_Final_Report_EN%281%29.pdf\">cliquez ici<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>National Emergency Psychosocial Advisory Consortium (NEPAC)<\/h4>\n<p>The group was\u00a0originally brought together in 2007 by the Centre for Emergency Preparedness and Response at the Public Health Agency of Canada, as an interagency group to discuss the area of psychosocial response to emergencies.\u00a0NEPAC\u2019s mandate is to serve as a pool of expertise to advise, support, collaborate, champion and provide resources on psychosocial preparedness in an emergency or disaster to the public, communities, health professionals, administrators and decision-makers across all levels and sectors. As a voluntary consortium of stakeholders with expertise and interest in emergency psychosocial planning, NEPAC is uniquely positioned to comprehensively examine the issue from a variety of perspectives. It is a non-registered, non-governmental, non profit voluntary society which operates at \u2018arms-length\u2019 from government.\u00a0Should you wish to contact NEPAC, join the consortium,\u00a0or bring a question\/issue forward, please email <a href=\"mailto:executiveoffice@cpa.ca\">executiveoffice@cpa.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:\u00a0<\/strong>On March 1, 2011,\u00a0a PHAC\u00a0representative informed the NEPAC\u00a0members during one of its regular teleconferences\u00a0that PHAC will no longer support NEPAC and its activities (e.g., teleconferences, in-person meetings, etc.); other emergency preparedness and response groups previously supported by PHAC have received the same message. PHAC will\u00a0engage experts on issues or projects that will arise from time to time, but NEPAC\u00a0will no longer\u00a0exist as a specific group funded by PHAC.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NEPAC Survey:<\/strong>\u00a0Given this, NEPAC&#8217;s co-Chairs\u00a0invited the NEPAC\u00a0members to\u00a0complete a brief survey to tell us their\u00a0thoughts on NEPAC\u2019s future. Survey results were shared with the NEPAC\u00a0membership and PHAC. Despite PHAC&#8217;s discontinued\u00a0support, NEPAC\u00a0members opted to remain a consortium via email.\u00a0<a href=\"\/docs\/File\/Emergencies\/NEPAC_SurveyResults_11March2011.pdf\">Click here<\/a> to view the results.<\/p>\n<h4>Public Health Agency of Canada H1N1 Teleconference Updates<\/h4>\n<p>CPA participates in\u00a0teleconferences arranged by the Public Health Agency of Canada to provide updates on the status, treatment and government response to H1N1. CPA speaks to the need for consideration of psychosocial planning and potential\u00a0impacts of H1N1 on Canadians&#8217; mental health.\u00a0For up-to-date information on H1N1, visit the PHAC website: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.phac-aspc.gc.ca\/index-eng.php\">http:\/\/www.phac-aspc.gc.ca\/index-eng.php<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>Attendance at National Forums<\/h4>\n<p>Attendance at the Public Health Agency of Canada\u2019s (PHAC\u2019s) annual national forums on emergency preparedness and response.<\/p>\n<h4>Advisory Committee Member<\/h4>\n<p>Advisory committee member in the development of a psychosocial annex to Canada\u2019s pandemic response plan.<\/p>\n<h4>Council of Emergency Voluntary Sector Directors (CEVSD)<\/h4>\n<p>The Council of Emergency Voluntary Sector Directors provides leadership, advice, support, guidance, and formulates recommendations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency in the provision of emergency health and emergency social services within Canada. CEVSD is exploring the linkages it can develop with other emergency response sectors. One of the key objectives for the group is to highlight the need for and ways to sustain emergency response among the voluntary sector. CPA will work with other members of the Council to highlight the need for psychosocial planning, particularly the role of psychologists as both mental health professionals and individuals interested in being a volunteer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:\u00a0<\/strong>In March 2011,\u00a0a PHAC\u00a0representative informed the CEVSD\u00a0members\u00a0that PHAC will no longer support CEVSD and its activities (e.g., teleconferences, in-person meetings, etc.); other emergency preparedness and response groups previously supported by PHAC have received the same message.
