{"id":2683,"date":"2018-03-03T01:14:49","date_gmt":"2018-03-03T06:14:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cpa.ca\/award\/"},"modified":"2025-12-17T15:24:59","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T20:24:59","slug":"award","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cpa.ca\/fr\/sections\/award\/","title":{"rendered":"Section Newsletter Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"textwrapleft\" src=\"\/stockphotos\/9337602M.jpg\" alt=\"congratulations!\" width=\"130\" height=\"130\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"display: inline;\"><span class=\"new\">NEW<\/span> The Student Section is the winner of the 2025 <em><strong>CPA Section Newsletter Award<\/strong><\/em> for their <a href=\"https:\/\/cpa.ca\/docs\/File\/Students\/CPA Fall Newsletter 2024-EN.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fall 2024 Newsletter<\/a>.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The CPA recognizes the efforts that the CPA&#8217;s Sections put into creating and maintaining their newsletters. Section newsletters serve as an important communication tool to help keep members informed and involved in the Section and in CPA. In recognition of this effort, we would like to give an award for the best newsletter distributed by a CPA Section. The winning Section receives a monetary award of $250 and is highlighted on the bulletin &amp; news area of the CPA&#8217;s website.<\/p>\n<p>To be considered for the award, Sections must send an electronic copy of their best newsletter issue <strong>from 2025 <\/strong>to CPA (<a href=\"mailto:styler@cpa.ca?subject=Section%20Newsletter%20Award\">membership@cpa.ca<\/a>) by February 2, 2026. The CPA&#8217;s Membership Committee reviews all the entries received and selects a winner. The following criteria are used to determine the winner:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Informational content (consider if it contains just Section info or also includes general CPA info)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge translation (consider the clarity of writing; whether articles are useful to just section\/other psychologists\/other professions\/public)<\/li>\n<li>Engagement\/interest (consider if topic, headline, bi-line, and\/or use of pictures or illustrations pulls the reader in)<\/li>\n<li>Design\/creativity (consider newsletter name banner; overall organization and layout; visual impact)<\/li>\n<li>Contributions from multiple individuals (consider the number of contributors relative to the size of the section; if there is a comments\/feedback section for readers)<\/li>\n<li>Student content (consider whether there is inclusion of written student contributions ;
