DPNet is now maintained at Carleton University, through the Pickering Centre for Human Development. General information about joining the listserv can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/pickeringcentre\/dpnet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/carleton.ca\/pickeringcentre\/dpnet\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Announcements:<\/h2>\n<h3>Registration Now Open for <em>Development 2022<\/em><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Development 2022<\/strong>, a Canadian Conference on Developmental Psychology hosted by the Pickering Centre for Research in Human Development, will precede the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/convention.cpa.ca\/\">CPA&#8217;s Annual Convention<\/a>\u00a0at the Hyatt Regency in Calgary, Alberta on June 15th \u2013 16th, 2022. \u00a0This two day event will feature an exciting line up of keynote speakers, symposia, posters, lightning talks, and will conclude with the special presentation of the 2022 Pickering Award for Outstanding Contributions to Research in Human Development. Daily breaks and lunch are provided, and students are invited to register for a spot in our Mentoring Lunch.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/convention.cpa.ca\/registration\/#Dev2022\">https:\/\/convention.cpa.ca\/registration\/#Dev2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Note that attendees of Development 2022 who register to attend CPA2022 are eligible for a 10% rebate off their\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/convention.cpa.ca\/\"><em>CPA convention registration<\/em><\/a><em>\u00a0if they choose to attend both conferences.\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/convention.cpa.ca\/registration\/registration-fees\/#Dev2022\"><em>Click here for details<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"new\">NEW<\/span> <strong>How many developmental researchers are being trained in Canadian graduate programs? How many are graduating with PhD&#8217;s focusing on Developmental Psychology? In what sub-fields are these graduates specializing? Although the Canadian government tracks the number of PhD&#8217;s awarded in Canada, we don&#8217;t know how many of these are graduates in Developmental Psychology. Tailoring the Developmental Psychology Section&#8217;s outreach and programs requires an understanding emerging and recent PhD&#8217;s. <\/strong>The CPA Developmental Section invites proposals to assess the number of PhD students and recent PhD graduates in Developmental Psychology and its sub-fields at Universities in Canada. We look forward to proposals detailing a budget, research plan (including methodology), timelines, and scope for research to be conducted between January and December 2019. The report will be due to the Developmental Section for review by December 2019 and disseminated to Developmental Section members thereafter.\n<p>Proposals are due on November 10th.
