Students having defended their dissertations in the previous two years (2018 and 2019) are eligible to be nominated. Nominees are invited from all relevant disciplines. Faculty and self-nominations are equally encouraged.\n\n<em><strong>Nomination Requirements:<\/strong><\/em>\n\n\n<ul>\n \t\n\n<li>Confirmation of nominee\u2019s current Family Psychology Section membership<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Nominee\u2019s name, address, email address, and phone number<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Advisor\u2019s name, address, email address, and phone number<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>A letter of recommendation from the advisor indicating the nature of the nominee\u2019s contribution to the development of the research and the perceived contribution of the study to the field of investigation<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>A 2-5 page abstract of the dissertation<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>A link to the full dissertation<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<strong>NOMINATIONS<\/strong>\n\nNominations are due to the Awards Committee by <strong>March 1, 2020<\/strong>. A public announcement of the recipient of the award will be made at the Section Annual Meeting at the annual CPA convention.\n\n<a href=\"\/docs\/File\/Sections\/Family\/dissertation award call.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click here for the PDF version of this announcement<\/a>.\n\n\n\n<hr \/>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h4>Family Psychology Section Awards<\/h4>\n\n\nIn alternating years the Family Psychology Section offers an <em>Outstanding Contribution to Family Psychology Award<\/em> or a dissertation award (depending on availability) to present at CPA's annual convention. Dissertation awards are presented in even years and Contributor awards in odd years. In 2020, a dissertation award will be offered.
