Please note that applicants who have not previously held this award will be prioritized in the adjudication process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline: <\/strong>March 31, 2026, 11:59 pm EST<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility: <\/strong>Student member of the CPA Clinical Neuropsychology Section<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Requirements: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Submit a <strong>maximum 2-page proposal <\/strong>outlining your research project. In your proposal, <em>be sure to include<\/em>:\n<ol>\n<li>A brief description of background information providing a rationale for your project.<\/li>\n<li>An outline of your project\u2019s objective(s) and research questions.<\/li>\n<li>Discussion of your hypotheses, methods\/procedures, and proposed data analysis.<\/li>\n<li>The anticipated clinical significance of the project.<\/li>\n<li>A budget justification for the use of the award funds.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>Please note that funds must be used for research-related expenses only.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>While the proposal may be less than 2 pages, please be sure to address all criteria thoroughly within your proposal.<\/li>\n<li>The total submission length <strong>should not exceed 4 pages<\/strong> and should include the proposal (Max 2 pg.) and any references, tables and other appendices (Max 2 pg.)..<\/li>\n<li>All submissions must be in 12-point font, single-spaced, with a minimum of 3\/4\u201d margins.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Applications must be accompanied by a completed <a href=\"https:\/\/cpa.ca\/docs\/File\/Sections\/ClinicalNeuropsychology\/Supervisor Agreement Form _ CPA Clinical Neuropsychology Section Student Research Award 2026-2027.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Supervisor Agreement Form<\/strong><\/a> signed by the student and the student\u2019s supervisor. This form replaces the supervisor letter requirements from previous grant competitions. It is meant to confirm that the supervisor is aware of, has reviewed\/approved, and has confidence in the student\u2019s ability to complete the proposed project. It also confirms that the supervisor agrees to support the proposed research and administer and monitor the student\u2019s use of the funds for research-related expenses.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Review of Applications: <\/strong>All proposals will be reviewed independently by two members of the CPA Clinical Neuropsychology Section with no relationship to the applicant or project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notice of Decision: <\/strong>All applicants can expect to be notified of a decision regarding their application in May 2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submission of Application: <\/strong>All applications should be submitted electronically to Dr. Simritpal Malhi, Coordinator of the Student Research Grant (<a href=\"mailto:dr.s.malhi@gmail.com\">dr.s.malhi@gmail.com<\/a>).
