Title: Psychotherapy Treatment Credibility and Expectancy Among Korean Immigrants

Description: I am currently recruiting adult Korean immigrants living in Canada for my thesis project, which will be looking at acculturation and help-seeking perceptions. It is hoped that findings from this study will provide insight into if and how cultural factors shape Korean immigrants’ evaluation of counselling/psychotherapy as a trustworthy and effective intervention for mental distress, and inform provision of culturally appropriate mental health supports for this population. This study has been approved by the University of British Columbia Behavioural Research Ethics Board (Ethics ID: H26-00744).

Specifics: Study Population:
Participants must be:
- Age 19 years and above
- A Korean immigrant currently living in Canada
- Able to read and respond to survey in Korean

Participant Obligation:
Participation involves a 10-15 minute online survey, and participants will be offered $5 (e-transfer or digital coffee gift card) for their time.
Participation is voluntary and survey responses are anonymous.
