Title: Racial Discrimination, Burnout, and Resilience in Racialized Health Care Professionals in Canada
Description: The study explores racial discrimination experienced by health care workers in Canada, with the goal of better understanding its prevalence, nature, and its links to other factors such as burnout and resilience.
The aim of the project is to better inform supports offered to racialized health care workers and policies aimed at reducing experiences of racial discrimination in health care settings.
There are two parts to the study, participants can participate in either ones or in both. The first is an online survey that takes about 20 minutes to complete. The second is a 60-min one-on-one interview.
Specifics: Study Population:
Racialized health care professionals (including psychologists) currently or in the past employed in a care facility (e.g., hospitals, rehabilitation centres, or community health centres)
Participant Obligation:
Participants can take part in this project by responding to our online questionnaire and/or by doing an individual 60 minute one-on-one interview virtually or in-person if they are in Ottawa.
