Asian Psychology Section Student Award
Amount: $100.00 (up to 2 awards)

Information: In recognition of students’ contribution to improving Asian mental health and well-being, this award will be given to a student whose project or research relates strongly to Asian psychology and/or Asian mental health. The submission does not need to be associated with a presentation at the CPA convention but can be related to any research project, advocacy work, and/or community/volunteer project for which the student is involved during the period of September to August for the award year.
Eligibility: Students currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (undergraduate, graduate, or post-doctoral level) at a Canadian institution. Student nominees must be directly involved in the project, community engagement, or research. Students can submit an application or be nominated for this award. Preference will be given to nominees who are student members of the Asian Psychology Section.
Application Procedure: Students can self-nominate. Submission criteria include 1) an up-to-date CV and 2) a brief summary (up to 500 words) describing the project or research they are currently involved in and how it contributes to the betterment of mental health and well-being of Asian communities.
Other students, faculty, or community members can also nominate a student for this award. The submission includes a brief summary (up to 500 words) demonstrating the impact of the student nominee’s project or research involvement in Asian mental health and well-being. Student nominees may be contacted directly to provide a CV.

The successful applicant will receive email confirmation of receipt of the award. The presentation of the award will take place at the Asian Psychology Section Annual General Meeting.
