CPA Clinical Neuropsychology Section Student Research Award 2025 – 2026
The Clinical Neuropsychology Section of CPA will be awarding at least two research awards specifically designed for student members of our section, with a preference for Master’s thesis or Ph.D. dissertation projects. Award(s) will be granted to a maximum of C$1000 and will be awarded for merit in research within the field of Clinical Neuropsychology across the lifespan. Please note that applicants who have not previously held this award will be prioritized in the adjudication process.

Eligibility: Student member of the CPA Clinical Neuropsychology Section
Application Requirements:
- Submit a maximum 2-page proposal outlining your research project. In your proposal, be sure to include:
- A brief description of background information providing a rationale for your project.
- An outline of your project’s objective(s) and research questions.
- Discussion of your hypotheses, methods/procedures, and proposed data analysis.
- The anticipated clinical significance of the project.
- A budget justification for the use of the award funds.
NOTES:
- While the proposal may be less than 2 pages, please be sure to address all criteria thoroughly within your proposal.
- The total submission length should not exceed 4 pages and should include the proposal (Max 2 pg.) and any references, tables and other appendices (Max 2 pg.).
- All submissions must be in 12-point font, single-spaced, with a minimum of 3/4” margins.
- Applications must be accompanied by a completed Supervisor Agreement Form signed by the student and the student’s supervisor. This form replaces the supervisor letter requirements from previous grant competitions. It is meant to confirm that the supervisor is aware of, has reviewed/approved, and has confidence in the student’s ability to complete the proposed project. It also confirms that the supervisor agrees to support the proposed research and administer and monitor the student’s use of the funds.
Review of Applications: All proposals will be reviewed independently by two members of the CPA Clinical Neuropsychology Section with no relationship to the applicant or project.
Notice of Decision: All applicants can expect to be notified of a decision regarding their application in May 2025.
