Biography
I am a fourth-year undergraduate student at the Université de Moncton, in New Brunswick, specializing in psychology. My academic journey has been centered around a deep exploration of parent-adolescent relationships, with a particular focus on understanding and enhancing them. I have been accepted into a PhD program in clinical psychology, which I will begin in September.
My research interests revolve around optimizing strategies for parents to navigate rule-breaking behaviors in children and adolescents, aiming to foster healthy developmental outcomes. Alongside this, I have worked about medical psychology, specifically delving into effective approaches to prevent falls among community-dwelling seniors, thus prioritizing their overall well-being. Furthermore, my academic pursuits extend into personality psychology, where I investigate traits, resilience, work ethic, and leadership. These interests have led to the publication of a research paper, multiple submissions, and numerous conference presentations.
Outside of academia, I actively engage in leadership roles within my community, having served as both president and academic vice-president of the psychology student association and the faculty student council at my university for three years. Additionally, I have taken on the responsibility of coordinating activities at the university's peer help center and have represented my campus at the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). Moreover, I’m currently in position as Financial and Administrative Executive within the CPA student section executive team. I love having the chance to interact with and to help others, which is why I love being so involved in student life.
Beyond my scholarly endeavors, I maintain a balanced lifestyle by participating in sports, running, and cherishing moments spent with friends.
