Chronic conditions are a significant and often underexamined aspect of women’s health in Canada, with implications that span physical, mental and social well-being.

On May 5, 2026, the Economic Club of Canada convenes a panel of clinical and research leaders for a discussion on how chronic illness is experienced and managed across the healthcare system. The conversation will explore the intersection of gender, long-term health conditions, and access to care, with a focus on how care models, research, and policy can better support women living with chronic conditions.

Speakers include:
Dr. Grace L. Chua, Cardiologist, Mackenzie Health
Dr. Paula Rochon, Director of Research, Weston and O’Born Centre for Mature Women’s Health, Sinai Health
Moderated by Dr. Woganee Filate, Co-Founder and CEO, Lume Women + Health

We are pleased to offer the Canadian Psychological Association community a 10% registration discount.

We hope you will join us for this timely discussion.
