L’Union internationale de psychologie scientifique (IUPsyS) a annoncé le nom des lauréats des prix quadriennaux de l’IUPsyS de 2024. Le Dr John W Berry, du Canada, également Fellow honoraire à vie de la SCP, s’est vu décerner le Lifetime Career Award! Ce prix récompense les contributions exceptionnelles et durables de toute une vie apportées à la coopération internationale et à l’avancement des connaissances dans le domaine de la psychologie scientifique.
Women are disproportionately impacted by the adverse effects of climate change, with women’s intersecting identities exacerbating impact. Erinn Cameron’s research investigates the psychological consequences of climate change for women in Northern rural Ghana and pregnant women living with HIV in semi-urban Western Cape, South Africa. Her work focuses on common mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, and trauma in the context of water scarcity. She also assesses climate anxiety, environmental distress, coping mechanisms, adaptive strategies, and violence against women.
