Nominee Statement for Janine Hubbard seeking the Director Representing Practice
I am a registered Psychologist in Newfoundland & Labrador and earned my MA/Ph.D. in Clinical-Developmental Psychology from York University. For over 20 years, I have provided clinical pediatric psychology services at the Janeway Children's Health & Rehabilitation Centre· and conduct assessments and interventions for children/youth through my private practice. I am an adjunct professor at MUN and teach, supervise residents and PsyD graduate students. Through mentorship, I strive to support and encourage those newer to the profession to consider leadership and service roles within psychology.
I am passionate about Psychology. I have served on both association and regulatory bodies provincially and nationally including:
I am committed to advocacy for the profession at the local, provincial, and national levels and have done so with government and within public institutions, as well as raising the profile of Psychology through a strong media presence. I regularly participate in syndicated national radio interviews and appear in a weekly Psychology segment on local television news.
I would be honoured to serve as the Director Representing Practice.

- Director at Large, CPA Board of Directors (3 year term).
- Committee member, CPA's Professional Affairs committee (5 years)
- CPA Director Representing Practice, temporary appointment (April -June 2025)
