In our capacity as the largest national association for the science, practice and education of psychology in Canada, we:

  • advocate
  • provide research funding
  • chair and/or sit on numerous mental health and research alliances
  • promote psychological science and evidence-based practice
  • publish three peer-reviewed journals
  • produce numerous publications and fact sheets
  • offer continuing professional development courses and workshops
  • approve continuing education providers
  • provide resources to the public
  • accredit doctoral training programs and internships
  • provide member benefits and discounts to preferred vendors
  • convene task forces and committees
  • support 32 sections
  • support psychology students
  • provide information to the media
  • liaise with partners, psychology representatives, and other psychological associations
  • host an annual convention
