Aging and Geropsychology Section Student Presentation Awards
The purpose of section student awards is to encourage student members to attend and to recognize the achievement of presenting at the annual CPA convention
The Aging & Geropsychology Section Student Presentation Awards:
3 Presentation Awards, each valued at $250:
Applicants must be student members of the Aging & Geropsychology section and presenting work related to the general topic of Aging & Geropsychology. One award is designated for a presentation accepted by the Aging & Geropsychology Section. If there are more than 3 applicants, the winners will be determined by lottery.
If there are not enough applicants for the presentation awards, student members of the section who are attending, but not presenting, at the convention will be considered for a Conference Travel Award ($250). Priority for travel awards will be given to students who attend universities 500 km or more from the city in which the conference is being held.
Applicants will be eligible for 1 award per year and a maximum of two awards.
Application Procedure
To apply, please submit:
An e-mail indicating that you will be attending the convention, that you are a student member of the Aging & Geropsychology Section, and listing your university and program affiliation.
For the Presentation Awards, please provide a copy of the notification of submission acceptance.
Please submit via e-mail to the Chair of the Aging & Geropsychology Section by June 10th (currently, Dr. Colleen Millikin, Acting Chair: cmillikin@sbgh.mb.ca ).
Participants will be reimbursed after the convention.
