Statement of Purpose and Goals:
The purpose of the CPA Section on Suicide Prevention is to promote and support within the field of Psychology in Canada the science and practice of Suicidology, referring to the study and prevention of suicide.
In alignment with the CPA’s mission, the Section on Suicide Prevention aims to advance suicide prevention in Canada by way of psychological research, healthcare and public health initiatives, training, knowledge translation and dissemination, and advocacy.
