The Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health (CAMIMH), of which the CPA is a founding member, released a report Take the Money and Run which reviews how the provinces and territories are spending the $25 billion that was part of the 2023 ten-year health agreements with the federal government. The report notes that while the provinces and territories have taken the money, many of them need to up their game in terms of investing these resources to improve timely access to mental health and substance use health care services.
