Dr. Mitch Colp has been elected by the CPA Board of Directors to the position of CPA President and Chair of the Board for the 2025-2026 term. Dr. Colp will bring a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to this role, dedicated to addressing the evolving needs of our members and the communities we serve.
Dr. Colp is the CEO of Hexagon Psychology, which provides psychological assessment, counselling, and speech-therapy services for children, teens, and adults in Airdrie, Alberta. He has long been an advocate for reducing cross-jurisdictional practice barriers, the use of tele-psychological services, increasing cultural competency training, and addressing the widespread shortage of psychologists in Canada.
Dr. Colp is currently the chair of the CPA’s Professional Affairs Committee, the co-chair of the AI working group, and the Director Representing Practice on the CPA Board of Directors. He has a longstanding commitment to advancing equity, innovation, diversity, and ethics in psychology.
