The Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) is developing a standardized definition for full-time equivalents (FTEs) for health care providers and are looking for input from health professionals currently practicing in the field.
CIHI is a leader in pan-Canadian comparisons and collaboration, and work to date has highlighted a need to better understand full-time equivalence in the health workforce. This will enable comparable and meaningful measurement, including indicators such as vacancies and capacity.
Through this survey, what we want to know is: how are your work hours structured and what does an FTE look like for you?
Please follow this link to fill out a short (5-15 minutes) anonymous survey to help us ensure the definition is relevant to health professionals like you. Please share with your networks!
We invite you to submit your responses no later than Friday, August 7. Responses received after this date will still be accepted until the end of August.
